Giant Eagle Classic App Reviews

This stupid app is impossible to log into. Even when I know I am putting in the right password it always says its not the right password and when I use the forgot password feature it gives me a security code that is "invalid". They go to such ridiculous lengths to secure this app not even the people who have legitimate account cant get signed in. So not worth the headaches. Im deleting this useless app from my iPhone.

You were able to support a widget for our Fuelperks, a feature from iOS 8, released last fall, but still cant do a passbook support feature. Thats just lazy, considering you said the feature was coming last November.

Dear Giant Eagle, I am beyond frustrated with your app. I just want to jot down a list of items I need at the store so I wont forget. Seems like your app would be a good place. After requiring me login so I could undertake this 5-second task, I found I have forgotten my password for this top secret data. So twice I have asked for a security code to be emailed to me so I can reset my password. End of story? No. Upon receiving the code, which I have verified as correct multiple times while typing it in, your app tells me that I have an invalid security code and wont let me log in. I guess Ill just use notes and head to Heinens. Thanks.

Please add passbook functionality. Thank tou

Please add a search button for products! Good app. Please provide a search function based on location. When i am in a store i want to enter the thing i am looking for and the app to tell me to which aisle to go. Or even better , let me enter my shopping list and the app should tell me the quickest route i should walk to get all my items. This is probably counter productive to what Giant Eagle would want but would help me since i dont know the store layouts and want to be in and out quickly!

Once this is made available to add to Passbook/Wallet i will download again and use.

Got this solely for replacing my physical Advantage Card, but its more trouble than its worth- you have to log in each time with a password/email combo and even then it will only sometimes scan. Its a shame Giant Eagles system is so clunky when passbook/wallet works so fast at other stores.

Still no passbook? Come on. How hard can it be? Giant Eagle doesnt seem to get mobile.

Good job on the homepage, love to be able to get to features faster. Keep up the momentum to make this app a tool for shopping with giant eagle.

There are a few nice features like the ability to scan your advantage card, however I am disappointed that you are not able to search store products and pricing when adding something to your shopping list. Being able to create a shopping list that includes pricing to give you an estimated total is very helpful. It would also be helpful to include the isle it is located in to help expedite my shopping time. Other grocery stores in the area have this ability and it makes me more willing to shop there for a quicker and more efficient experience.

Never adds items to grocery list! Worthless!

This app used to work perfectly, but over the past two months I can rarely get it to load and when I do it freezes up. My service and wifi is the same and no trouble with any other apps.

To many glitches--fuel perks not loading--ecoupons also wont load--nearly useless

I like the convenience of this app. Better than writing down sales items each week and love being able to clip ecoupons and viewing them. however there seems to be no way to delete an old shopping list. you can delete individual items but the shopping list title remains in your collection of shopping lists

I used to love this store but theyre not compatible with technology and they will abuse their prices so they can scam people that dont use their poor technology.

Really like some things about the app, like being able to see all my clipped e-offers and weekly ad specials right in my list. Would be easier to use while shopping if you could sort by category (produce, deli, dairy, etc).

Login works just fine through the web. This app, not at all.

The app is comprehensive. Missing only one thing: Allowing Advantage Card to appear in Wallet app.

This is a good enough app for what I will have to do... But I would like to see Passport/Wallet support for iOS

The only thing that could make this better is if purchasing gift cards through the app for both e and regular gift cards. For instance if Im out and about I find an e-card for a restaurant; I can then purchase it and use it to pay for my meal and other cards for none time sensitive purchases would be nice, as well. Then you can have five stars.
